The V Tearoom

Today was such an unfruitful shopping day. I wanted to buy a pair of Nine West, it was sooo sooo perfect, except that the straps at the back looked weird. So i didnt get it in the end. And shopping was so rush, cos we had to catch Transformers. The movie was really good. Optimus Prime is so handsome! After the movie, it was quite late already, so we had our dinner and went The V Tearoom for some desserts. And i was so tired by then cos i didnt sleep well the previous night, no thanks to my sis. Wanted to join the scandalicious gang at DXO, but felt like i was going to crash any moment, so i headed home instead.

The V Tearoomcranberry tea
Rum & Raisin Liquer Cake. If you go to The V Tearoom, you must try their signature liquer cakes! Honey Mango Premium Melt Cake
It was a beautiful day! A pleasant surprise when i checked my result for my first special semester module, great movie, perfect company, yummy dessert, and a still fat wallet (cos i didnt manage to buy anything)!

I did a very stupid thing today.

"Get ready for super shopping tmr! Before gst hike! Tmr is spend and save day! yay!"

I wanted to send this message to Jiang, but sent it to my dad instead! And i didnt realise it until my dad replied with " It's not an excuse to spend additional money."

Damn.

I love Mummy Daddy!!! Omg, they bought so many stuff back! And the thing is, most of the stuff they bought, were for us! My mum didnt even buy anything for herself except a , or should i say 2,Coach handbags. Me and sis have a Coach handbag each too! Mine was so so super pretty, and it's pink! Even Daddy bought himself a Coach wallet and belt! Haha, why the sudden craze in Coach, cos the designs in USA were simply gorgeous, unlike those ugly signature ones that i see in Singapore which i never ever thought of buying. In the end, they spent like 1500 US Dollars on Coach alone!

Besides Coach, Mummy bought Armani Exchange and Guess shirts for me too! Haha, she bought so many i dont have to go shopping for clothes for the next month or so! Which is good, cos i have no time to shop anyway. Ahh, New York seems like such a wonderful shopping paradise!

Best of all, they bought back bags of chocolates! Yes, i really mean BAGS! They went Hershey's chocolate factory! Wooo, i wanna go also!!!

A very nice Hersehy's gift pack
with so many bars/packs of different concentration of chocolate!
now i can make my own cocoa drink! yay!!!

nice mint chocolate, and low fat!!!
And so i've been eating chocolates non stop since they arrived~

And ice wine from Canada!

So now i keep bugging Mummy and Daddy to bring me to USA at the end of the year! I so poor thing, everyone goes on holiday during this long vacation while i have to stay at home to study or go school for lectures :( So pitiful haiz...I want go on a looooong holiday!!!

I was on my way to school on the bus when BHAM, the bus behind crashed into my bus.Glass from the backscreen were shattered on the floor. Scary. Fortunately no one was hurt. But i was slightly shaken. Initially i was quite pissed that it caused me to be late for a very important lecture. Then, i realized, i should thank my lucky stars that im still alive and kicking. Took a picture of it with my phone, and i was reminded of how fragile life can be. People can just drop dead anytime, anywhere. So, treasure those around. Easier said than done though. Sometimes we know deep down how much we care about people we love, but somehow it just doesnt show (or worse still, show otherwise). And when something happened, we begin to regret not letting them know how much we love them. But well, it may just be too late.
If tomorrow never comes, will he know how much i love him?

red white & pure

You know, there's always this place in Vivo that we always walked by but never thought of entering...
But today, we were attracted to this poster, looked pretty appetising we thought, and so we decided to give it a try. And this is what we got insteadIt looked nothing like what they showed in the poster. We felt so cheated :( But the apple tart was nice

Then i thought the bird nest ice cream seem pretty interesting, but it was damn expensive, 12 bucks for a scope! But well, it's bird nest, so i didnt complain. Yet, i didnt taste any bird nest at all...
bitter coffee

Hmm, i wouldnt say food here is bad, just that it has a unique taste to it, maybe cos of all the herbal stuff they put. A mix of eastern and western that im not very used to. But certainly, it's way too overpriced.

mummy and daddy will be back from their two week Canada-U.S tour tonight, yipee!!!

Yes, they went on a holiday and happily left us 3 rascals at home. But nvm, cos grandma came over to stay! I really really enjoyed her company these 2 weeks, made me miss those times when i used to stay with her. Well, i was a young girl then, and she took such good care of me. Now, time flew by, and im...err...an old girl now, so i take care of her!I feel so sad for my poor grandma. I watched as she injected herself with medical drug every night, the pain it caused, and my heart really ached. How i wish i could share her pain. Imagine poking yourself with needle every night! I know how i hated injections, i really cant imagine how terrible it must have been to do this everyday. *Sighz* Now that im studying biotechnology, maybe one day i can create a drug for her that contains the genetically engineered bacteria that has the gene that codes for the protein she lacks! Hmm...maybe i should switch major now.

Anyway, that's besides the point. the point is...

Mummy and Daddy will be back in like 15 hours time! Hope they bought lots and lots of presents for me! Heh.

Empire Cafe - Ah Teng's Bakery

Met Jas after school today for some shopping and tea. It was very unfruitful shopping, so we rewarded ourselves with Godiva Chocolixer instead! Tried one of their new flavours- dark chocolate mint. It was really heavenly beyond words.
Jas likes Daniel Wu's muscular arms, haha
I think Daniel Wu is one hot Asian, but the poster didnt do him justice
Empire Cafe- Ah Teng's Bakery, located at Raffles Hotel. Pastries are excellent, price is low, ambience is great, perfect for tea, relax and chit-chat :)
Danish Pastryvery very nice chocolate mousse cake! Omg, the fudge is so smooth it actually reflects. Chocolate was so rich, not like those lousy mousse cake that tasted more like disgusting chocolate cream than anything else, and most important of all, it wouldnt make u feel sick from too much chocolate. Omg, this mousse cake is really the bestest of the bestest. Watch me as i indulge in my delicious chocolate mousse!
hmm...yummmmmyyyy
I think i really had an overload of chocolate today, but it was high quality chocolate that was worth gaining a pound for!

happy 39th!

Went Island Creamery for some ice cream! I havent eaten decent ice cream in a long long time! They used to have "different" favours like tiger beer, but they didnt have it when we were there :( the closest to "different" we saw was pulut hitam, kopi- o and teh tarikJiang had teh tarik and horlicks ice-cream. He loves horlicks but i love teh tarik! Omg, it really tasted like teh tarik and was so nice! I liked it so much i ended up eating most of itI chose nutella and berry ice cream. The berry one tasted like Haagen Daz, but i think i like Haagen Daz more. Nutella was only so-so. Baked Alaska. The cream tasted like the grilled ice cream we had at Kuriya, and there's strawberry ice cream inside, very very nice!Ice cream here is really cheap and nice and the different flavours are a refreshing change from what i usually eat. But i think Japan still serves the nicest flavours ever. I miss the lavendar ice cream in Hokkaido! I remembered how i used to eat it all the time whenever i see people selling it there. When i returned, i searched and searched but couldnt find it in Singapore. Anyone knows where they sell it must tell me!!! OH and the squid ink ice cream from Japan, tasted normal, but i guess people who like squid ink pasta would want to try it, dont see it in singapore though. Oh and one more thing, i didnt know Island Creamery have a "take away" branch at the basement of centre point, that means we could get it in town! Yay!!!hmmm...yummy :DI thought i was pretty full after having 3 scoops of ice cream(the 2 scoop i chose and the one scoop i stole from Jiang), but we walked pass Mad Jack and it looked pretty tempting!I settled for chicken in black pepper sauce with mushroom rice. The mushroom rice tasted special, quite nice. Black pepper sauce was good, spicy enough. But other than that, it wasnt anything spectacular, but fair enough. For the price we paid, we cant really expect anything fantastic. Im a strong believer of "You pay for what you get".The tallest burger, according to the menu.haha it was so tall that Jiang had trouble eating it, look what become of the burger - a total mashup
