i have no idea why im smiling. im supposed to look disgusted by the juice. Ok, maybe it wasnt that bad...
chorizo sausage with scrambled eggs and toastchef reif burger...super yummy! MUST TRY
juicy fat beef patty and foie gras and wedges, yum yum :)
jiang always insists on ending the meal with something sweet, so we ordered the banana pancake appetizer as our dessert. woo lala pancakes with berries and ice cream~

"During a hearing Wednesday before the House Financial Services Committee, Rep. Brad Sherman, D-Calif., asked the three auto chiefs seated at the witness table before him to raise their hands if they had come to Washington on commercial airliners. No hands went up. Then he asked if any planned to sell their corporate jets. Again, no hands went up. Sherman and Rep. Gary Ackerman, D-N.Y., told the auto executives they were having a hard time justifying to their constituents bailing out companies whose chiefs fly around in expensive private jets. Ackerman said there was "a delicious irony in seeing private jets flying into Washington D.C. and people coming off them with tin cups in their hands."

"It was interesting to see the different cultural attitudes to the crisis on display. In Japan, the CEO of a major bank would have apologized to his employees and his country, and would have refused his pension and bonus so that those who suffered as a result of corporate failures could share the money. He would have resigned. In America, the only questions are whether a board will force a CEO to leave and, if so, how big his severance package will be. When I asked one CEO whether there was any discussion of returning their bonuses, the response was not just no, but an aggressive defense of the bonus system. " - Joseph E. Stiglitz

The irony of this whole thing really amuses me...

I failed my driving test for the second time :( Im not ok about it, and it's not the failure that's upseting me. It's the cost of getting the license, i have spent almost $2500 on it and im gonna spend even more on the third test. And it's the trouble of having to apply for PDL and take the FTT all over again if i dun pass the third time. Doesnt help that i will be away for 3months and will only be able to take the test earliest next Apr. ARGH.

But it's ok, i will psycho myself to be happy by reminding myself how blessed i am :)

1. Jiang had been really really supportive. I know it's a really really small thing and i probably overreacted, but he had been patient in trying to cheer me up. He said he will treat me to Wasabi Bistro after my exams, yay!!!

2. Even though it's the exam period, but im not feeling stressed because im mugging for my most favorite, and not to mention the most interesting and relevant subjects in the world - Psychology and Economics. I know i sound pretty geeky, but really, studying these 2 subjects are never a chore and i very much enjoy reading and learning more. How many people derive so much joy from studying?

3. Music and dance. I can never describe how much i love these two activities. Nothing like a beautiful song to lift your moods. And even though i stopped practising the piano since i passed my Grade 8 many years ago, i still love this instrument very much and i do occasionally touch the keyboard when i have a sudden urge to play. Despite regretting not learning to dance earlier, im still very proud of myself that i took the initiative to learn it after A levels. Better late than never right? And this is the best decision i've made in my life, and the best money i've spent (much more worth it than silly driving lessons). Everytime after reggae and bryan/sheila's class, i feel really really good.

4. Im going to the states next year!!! Shopping, here i come!

5. Im losing weight without even attempting to do so. Must be the dance!

6. i know i can always count on my hip hop taitais for support, dance, and good food!

Now i cant wait for exams to end! There's so much i want to do, so much food i want to try and so many people i want to go out with before i leave for sep at the end of the year.

Aburiya

Ever since gyu-kaku 2.5 years ago, and knowing how much Jiang loves japanese charcoal grill , i've been wanting to bring him to Aburiya which is another hot spot for such food. And finally, after so long, we made our there! Just for fun, we decided to wear the exact same clothes we wore to gyu-kaku!
in anticipation of the food~
green salad, yummy!tamago soupi kinda got confused over the beef, but i knew we had tenderloin, prime short rib and outside skirt :)and mushroom!!!Jiang had to cook the food for me while im busy clicking away on my camera :)beef & potato stew, ymmmm
In addition, we ordered a wagyu nikiri set...soo raw but full of flavour!
but the wagyu sashimi meat was so damn delicious we ordered another 2 pieces of it. It really tasted like sashimi!
Poor Jiang went through 2 ERP to fetch me there and another 2 ERP to send me home :( But the food was very worth it right, dear?
