Amanogawa & MOF

Im blogging from school now cos my dad's itchy hands screwed up the home wireless connection :(

Anyway,The japanese lecturer yesterday was super boring and i couldnt understand a thing he said, so i pon lec to meet Jiang.Had dinner at Amanogawa at Raffles City Basement.I love this restaurant, super cheap and nice!

This place doesnt sell desserts so we went to Ministry of Food, My Izakaya.Omg, the food there smelt soooo nice i felt like having the maincourse there as well.But, well, maybe i would save it for another time :)

Sharon the pro who was selected to join the team for Pulse!pretty tracy :) Then we went around looking for black pants for the performance. First thing first, we were hungry after practice and went harbourfront for lunch before we proceeded to army's market to buy the cheap 10buck pants that most seniors had. Oh gosh, when joo teng told us it was quite uncle and ugly, we didnt quite believe him. I mean, how bad could it be? Then we saw. We were horrified! No wonder the seniors seldom wear it unless they had to. It's something i wouldnt even want to waste ten bucks for. So we walked around bugis in search for the pants until we were so shagged we decided to continue another day. I shopped around on my own and saw a pair of Esprit pants thats quite nice but cost 9 times more. But well, maybe i would just buy it. That disgusting pair at armys market is a big no no.

argh im so busy now i have no life at all. Thank god mid terms are over and i did pretty well for it, but there's still tons of term papers to do. Im so proud that i managed to complete my 1500 words history essay even though it is rather superficial and portrayed my lack of knowledge. But well,i cant be bothered anymore. I have spent one week on it and i dont have the time and dont want to look at it anymore. Another 6 page term paper and a 3500 words project to go. Urgh!

Schoolwork is taking up lots of my time, so is blast! Now i spend like 10 hours on blast a week, an equivalent to a module. With the anniversary performance just, gasp!, one week plus away, i think i better practice harder or risk looking like an idiot in front of all the seniors. Dancing is so tiring, but it is so fun time just flies.And when we get tired, we do stupid stuff. Took lots of retarded photos and videos which i think i shouldnt post cos it will seriously damange our images, hahaha.

Back to my essays. NUS sucks.

Cafe Swiss

Guess where is this place that looks so classy and pretty? The theatre in The Cathay where we watched The Departed! I think i still prefer Infernal Affairs though the hollywood version did have some good twists too.Most importantly, i think Matt Damon is a much better actor than andy lau and Leonardo Dicarprio is much better than Shawn Yue. Im prejudiced against these two persons, dont ask me why. And of course, Tony Leung rocks.haha.

Had our 31th month dinner at Cafe Swiss, located at Swissotel the Stamford.Garden Snail with garlic breadI love snails! So chewy and delicious...

Mooncakes!

someone from my dad's office gave him this box of mooncake from Marriot last week. Supposed to be very good but i didnt quite like it cos i never liked mooncakes in the first place(which is very good cos mooncakes make you VERY fat!) especially those with yolks. Even if i eat mooncake i would only eat those snow skin ones.
So that makes this mooncake from raffles hotel different! First, it is snowskin which i like. Second, instead of disgusting yolks, there is a big round ball of champagne white chocolate inside!

After sooo long, me and jiang finally have a chance to go out and we decided to have a picnic at Nokia Starlight Cinema - the annual event that we always go for! The movie starts at 8 so we went around shopping for food at carrefour.
Guess what we saw at the second level? Halloween masks! These are way too cool and it was so fun playing with the masks :p I wanna dress up and go Halloween parties!!!

i killed fugly furbie*hiak hiak*oh there's this japanese stall at the food corner near carrefour that sells some shaker salad thing that was first introduced at pepper lunch. I like it - cheap, healthy, nice! Moreover, we get to choose our own sobe noodle, 2 toppings(wakame, baby octopus, squid etc) and sauce :Dfinally we headed down for our picnic! Wanted to get more food at first but i was too full from the chippy's cheesy curry chicken(which sucks) and some curry puffs and other snacks.very nice black pepper chicken pie(thought i like the original one best!) gosh my face is so fat! I took like a million times of this pose but this is the only one where my double chin isnt so obvious. I really must start dieting soon!Nokia Starlight cinema

The break up is quite an ok show, the type that you would watch on the tv but not in a cinema.We didnt really want to watch this movie at first but it's the only one that we could catch, so yar, too bad.
