The grand prix
The first F1 night race in Singapore! Atmosphere was good, the vooms were loud, race was exciting, results were shocking, really one of the best race ever! (most of the nicer pics are taken by my dad using his Nikon D300, you dont seriously think that my point-and-shoot camera can take such nice pics right?)
official merchandise, where my dad blew almost a thousand bucks at. He bought god knows how many caps, i wonder if he has so many heads to fit them.
for the first time, Singaporeans like me discover how pretty our night landscape is. Im sure it would be even more breathtaking when the IRs are up

during qualifying, everyone thought alonso was pretty screwed. the action happened right in front of me. Instead of turning, his car went straight and into safetly zone and everyone was very concerned, wondering what happened. Turned out something happend to his hydraulics i think, so in the end he had to settle for the 15th position. As he said "I know that starting in the middle of the pack will make for a difficult race and I will need a miracle with the strategy to be able to make progress on this street circuit where it looks difficult to overtake." And guess what, his miracle came! So it's a lesson for everyone, never lose hope! By a strange twist of fate, anything can happen!

Poor Massa, from first pole to become 14th. His luck must have all gone to Alonso, who came in 1st from 15th. Kimi crashed his car near the last few laps, which was very unfortunate for Ferrari, and for me (Kimi's my favorite cos i find him cute) too :( Hamilton didnt come in top, but 3rd was good enough to increase the gap between him and Massa. Oh well, in racing, luck really plays a big part. Skills are important too, but if your car decided to screw you up, skills are really useless. sigh.
Sakuraya Sashimi House
A super back-dated post in the midst of DR preparationsI have been on this sashimi craze lately and im really really craving for some good sashimi among all the stress and late night practices. So i managed to convince Jiang to go dinner at
Sakuraya sashimi house at anchorpoint, just a short walk away from Alexandra hospital where he's doing his clinicals at.

Jiang's wafu steak yuge set. I love the salad, the beef and the noodles, which is basically everything. But nothing beats my sashimi still :)

The sashimi was really good and melts in your mouth. But im still not satisfied, i want more sashimi!!! Maybe after DR when i have more time i shall "force" Jiang to go for japanese buffet with me, where i can have my fill of sashimi! Or is there anyone who wants to ask me out for a sashimi date? I need to catch up on my schoolwork after DR, but i will never say no to sashimi!

My first driving test is tomorrow!!!!!
All vehicles travelling near bukit batok or teck whye area tomorrow, please follow appropriate traffic rules. At least during the time interval 11-1130 ok? If you see a test car near you, please be nice. Please dont cut my lane without signalling (like that irritating taxi driver), thank you very much.
Pedestrians, please only cross the roads at pedestrian crossings. Do not jaywalk! If you want to jaywalk, please do it safely and make sure you do not cause me any troubles.
Traffic lights, please be nice to me too.Do not suddenly turn amber when im about to cross, thank you.
Birds, cats and dogs, please stay away from the road for your own safety. Im very scared of animals on the roads cos im always afraid that there will be this retarded or slow animal that failed to avoid my car. I do not want to kill you, so try not to stay on the roads alright?
And yes, ching cheng, please be calm. Everything will screw up once you are nervous.

Finally, after weeks of dancing, i have time to go out with the bf and my girlfriends. First, it was dinner at pepperlunch and raspberry eclair at bakerzin with Jiang. Then movie, neoprints and dessert at NYDC with the girls :)

watched "Make it Happen" with the girls. It's a dance movie, but the choreography wasnt exactly fantastic. Of course, there were some impressive moves here and there, but overall it wasnt really up to expectations :(
