So i made it afterall :D
Just received a call from NUS danceblast informing that i've been successful in the audition. So apparently, i have been paranoid the past few days. Just because i received news that some people already know of the results and that i havent received any call after so long, i readily assumed that i didnt get in. So much for having confidence in myself!Haha, now i feel so silly for being such a worryrat!
so happy so happy so happy lalalal~

Kiefer Sutherland got the award for best actor in drama series and 24 was awarded best drama series in this year's emmys! yay!!!
I really love the show, especially this season when it's on terrorism, so intricately relevant to our world now. Me and jianglei were so addicted to it he came to my house almost everyday until we finished all 24 episodes. At first i thought it was too exaggerated, surely those actions couldnt have happened in just 24 hours! But just after i finished the whole season, news of the major terrorist plot that was foiled in Heathrow airport came and it really haunted me. It reminded me of the scene where the russian terrorists held hostages in the airport and threatened to kill them all unless the president complied with their demands. So it can happen to us afterall.
Next came the shocking revelation that the president was involved in providing the terrorists with nerve gases(which the terrorists attempted to release in a shopping mall and gas pipes) naively thinking that he was doing the country a favour by selling the terrorists the gases and secretly changing the shipment code such that it would be delivered to central asia and gave them an excuse to invade some country to secure oil production. That sets me thinking that maybe George Bush does have an agenda of his own when he invaded Iraq with the excuse that Saddam hussein is producing WMD(which we all now know is not true).
What a show that started stirring up wild thoughts in my mind and spinning controversies from my own imagination. That aside, i must say it was a really meaningful show that threw some light on the background efforts of anti-terrorism units, such as MI5 in UK. Must really appreciate their efforts, these are the people that work their asses all day long trying to foil terrorist plots and protect our lives, even if it means sacrificing themselves in the process.
What a long entry, suddenly i miss writing GP essays(those on terrorism and war of course!)

ok, people have been asking my why im so upset. Actually its no big deal, just that i didnt make it into dance. I really couldnt understand, i've got all the steps right. Even patrick, my instructor, says that there shouldnt be a problem and i deserve to get in. Albert from jitterbugs said i am good. People around me have been giving me so much hope and i actually thought that i could make it. Sometimes i just wish people wouldnt give me so much hope as i always end up falling deep. Im really disappointed and regretful. I thought of giving up, but jianglei made me realise that if it's dancing that i love, it doesnt matter whether i dance in jitterbugs, danceblast,in a club or even at home.Maybe im not good enough, but i will become better.
Michael Jordan was rejected by his high school basketball team but he's now a star of NBA. Elvis Presley’s music teacher at L. C. Humes High School in Memphis gave him a C and told him he couldn’t sing .The Beatles were rejected in 1962 by the Decca, Pey, Philips, Columbia and HMV labels. These remain my inspirations. So i've fallen, but i will crawl up like i've always do. Im that kind that need to fail before my fighting spirit can be ignited, my unwilingless to admit defeat strengtened my determination. I will show everyone that i do have the calibre to be a fantastic dancer.
Just watch me.

I didnt know whether to smile sweetly or act cool like models usually do, so i ended up smiling like an idiot. So awkward, i felt like folding my hands but it wouldnt look very nice but i didnt know where else to place them. Basically, i was embarrassed. I swear i would never allow myself such humiliation again!

casuarina curry
i have been bugging my dad to bring me for prata at upper thomson road(since my mum says that jalan kayu's one is a bit off standard now) and so i managed to wake him up early in the morning to bring us there. It was 10am and there were already lots of people.my cheese prata and mushroom prata -the unique rectangular pratas that they boast of.chocolate prata. It wasnt very nice actually and tasted more like crisps with chocolate sauce on it
plain prata.chicken curry which was not very fantastic eitherthere you go, our table of pratas. I was kinda disappointed actually, cos the prata was nowhere near my expectation. Some people like it crisp but it was a little too much for my liking. Tasted more like biscuit than anything else. and so, noting that there is another prata shop next door and it was rather empty, i decided to pop by alone to try their plain prata. im such a glutton. the rest of the family only ate one prata each whereas piggy me ate 3!
This prata is so much nicer and cheaper than the one next door!Even the colour looked nicer, not chao da like the other one. I so much more prefer such traditional pratas rather than those with frills. That's not what pratas are supposed to be!yummm...give me a plain old prata anytime :D
