Raffles Creamery
It was a hot sunny day and since we were at Raffles hotel, me and Jiang couldnt resist ice cream from Raffles Creamery. It's supposed to be a mix-in concept like cold rock and ice cream chef, but somehow my ice cream wasnt mixed. Just 2 scoops of ice cream and 2 toppings put in a cup, unmixed. I think you have to tell them you want the cold marble teppanyaki then they will mix for you. But it's ok, cos it tasted fantastic anyhow!
The macadamia nut and strawberry ice cream we had was comparable to haagen dazs (our favorite brand!) and the butterscotch sauce was oh-so-yummy. This ice cream parlour is better than cold rock, ice cream chef, and even ben & jerry's (never really liked B&J anyway) in our opinion!

Garibaldi
Wooo guess what? Jiang passed his driving! And what better way to celebrate than a scrumptious meal at Garibaldi?

I couldnt resist commenting about britney's embarrassing performance at the VMA award. What happened to the pop princess? She dressed so skimpily, and her figure is way off, and her dance really sucked.Actually i wouldnt even call it dancing. It seems like she's just marking her steps, no, i take back my words, she seems like she's learning the steps! Omg, cant imagine any celebrity "dancing" like that. It was a terrible and torturous video to watch, and im sure the other celebrities down the stage were laughing at her. What an awful performance! And i have to say, it's a horrible song too! She just goes "gimme gimme gimme more gimme more" throughout like 3/4 of the song, i was wondering if the song would ever end.
I used to enjoy her songs and her music videos. But what happened to britney now?
Fosters afternoon tea
Had a Devonshire Cream Tea at Fosters! The afternoon tea comes with signature oven hot scones, cake and tasty finger sandwiches accompanied with butter, homemade strawberry preserve and fresh cream, with a choice of tea or coffee.
I must say, the scones are really really the best!

Prego
Dinner with family at Prego. Food tasted ok, not particularly fantastic. And the pasta were so filling we didnt have much space in the stomach left for desserts. But i couldnt bear the thought of ending a meal without dessert so i insisted that we get the kahlau ice cream to share.
Soup of the dayTagliolini Neri all’ AragostaSquid ink tagliolini with lobster, fresh basil, garlic and cherry tomato sauceThe squid ink pasta here doesnt leave traces of black inks in the mouth like others, and maybe that's why it doesnt taste as good :(
I like the one at Da Paolo La Terrazza more.
Linguine allo Scoglio
Linguine with mussels, clams, squid, scallops, prawns and tomato sauce
Salmone, Tonno e Cipolle
Tomato, mozzarella, smoked salmon, tuna, red onion and parsley It's quite hard to resist comparing the salmon pizza here with the one i ate just 2 weeks ago at Da Paolo Pizza bar. For a price almost double of Da Paolo's, i would expect it to taste better but i guess Da Paolo had set such a high standard that the pizza here seemed average in comparison.

Cha Cha Cha
It's tuesday! Me, yvonne and georgina wanted to go Samy's curry for lunch at first, but we realized it was closed for renovation on our way there, so we went Holland V instead. Before that, i met Jiang who was supposed to have lunch with yuanshao, so we got them to join us girls :) Decided to eat at Cha Cha Cha. Food was yummy, but i realized Mexican food is basically all the same. Corn chips, tortilla wraps, meat, the same 3 sauces - sour cream, salsa, guacamole, all in different variations (Margarita's serve more special and authentic mexican food though). But i dun care, i love Mexican and im on my way to become an expert at reading Mexican menus and comprehending what the unfamiliar words mean!
Jumbo Mango Margarita. Of coure, it can never beat Cafe Iguana's macho margarita
Quesadillas Mexican version of grilled cheese sandwich. Flour tortillas filled with cheese, toasted on a hot griddle, and served with sour cream, salsa mexicana and gaucamole.
