Halia Afternoon Tea

High tea at Halia with yvonne and georgina! The afternoon tea set was delightful and the view was fabulous. We were crazily photowhoring cos botanic garden is so scenic, despite the rain. However, we didnt manage to take as many photos as we wanted as we had to rush off to Studio Wu for girls hip hop and mtv hip hop. Even then, we were late for class cos we simply couldnt stop taking photos! Nevermind, we agreed to come back again for other nice food!!! Anyway, i had so much fun at Studio Wu. The 2 hours seemed to fly by so fast! Think it's much better than jitterbugs in terms of the cost & the learning experience. Im so looking forward to every tues! Food adventure followed by hip hop, whee~

Halia (ginger in Malay)

we ordered a tea set each, consisting of scone with ginger perfumed fresh cream & ginger jam, puff pastry,roast chicken and salmon open sandwich, some miniature tea cakes and premium tea selection. all so yummy!

the scone was oh-so-delicious, especially with the unbelievably good ginger jam. The jam was so super super nice!

Dancetitude 2007

The 2 nights of Dancetitude ended yesterday. Danceblast! was invited as guest performers by NTU MJ and i must say, our 7 min long item was great! Watched the rest of the performances through the TV in the VIP room, think the tribute to Ishi is undisputably the best item, not least because of the sincerity and professionalism of the dancers. How i wish i could dance like them!

Nonetheless, i totally enjoyed the few minutes on stage. All the practices, hard work, late nights all seemed worth it the moment i stepped on stage and dance, especially when i heard the audience laughter when we did Barbie girl. I guess that's what keeps me going, even though i totally suck at dancing and sometimes just want to give up cos the competitive me simply couldnt bear being the lousiest in blast. But there's this attention-seeking-stage-loving part of me that knows that i would regret if i ever give up on the chance to perform. And so here i am, always complaining about dance practices taking up too much of my mugging & sleeping time, actually missing those practices after the event is over, and then you see me volunteering for the next performance again.
