my first new year countdown! Yes, i have been a lazy pig for the past 19 years of my life and chose to sleep through the new year but this year it was different, cos i went for Siloso Beach Countdown! This wasnt the initial plan but since Jiang's friend had tickets to offer, i decided to be less boring and more spontaneous this time round. So it was the usual foam party and i was feeling wet and sticky by the time we ushered in the new year. But it was fun even though the music aint exactly fantastic, at least it was a new experience and a good start. It was really heartening to see people of all races celebrating together, young and old, everyone looking so joyful and loving. A stark contrast to the world that we live in now, replete with violence and hatred. If a festival can bring different people together, i wish we have festivals all year round. So, this shall be my new year wish this time. No more resolutions, since i never really bothered keeping them anyway. And im not going to review 2006 cos i want to look forward and the past is history and also because im lazy to write down overwhelming thoughts. Moreover, 2006 had been a terrible year for the world so there's really nothing worth mentioning. So, here's a happy 2007 to all and may everyone stay cheerful and optimistic always! Love all my friends and thanks for being there for me :)
