Some young faces to look out for in World Cup 2006

Cristiano Ronaldo (portugal)

Spotted him in Euro Cup 2004 and i knew that he would be the next big thing in soccer. He is the only player in Sporting's history to play for the Under-18, Under-21, B team, and first team in one season. He's also known for his fantastic technical skills that leave defenders scratching their heads. Bet he's gonna score quite a few goals for Portugal in world cup this year.

Iker Casillas (spain)

Since 1999 Iker Casillas has been a solid rock as Real Madrid's last line of defense. Although young for a goalkeeper, his acrobatic saves leave his peers in awe. Casillas has been called upon repeatedly to maintain leads with his lightning quick reflexes. Unafraid to come off his line and cut off the angles, he is reputed for his victories in the much feared one-on-one situations.

Wayne Rooney(england)

The 2002 BBC Young Sportsman of the Year seems intimidated by nothing. Soccer fans have watched Rooney grow and mature in leaps and bounds over the past two years. His stocky build and quick reflexes make him a tough forward to contain.

Unfortunately, due to his metatarsal injury, he may not be able to perform as brilliantly in the matches. England fans better pray hard.The chances of England winning the world cup depends largely on this young talent!

Surprised?I know most girls will be supporting England for the obvious superficial reason -omg, david beckham/michael owen is so cute!!*squeal*

No, im not one of them. In fact, i was never attracted to david beckham in the first place.

Therefore, the country which i hope will win the 2006 Fifa world cup is....Brazil!

I supported them in year 2002 and they still have my fullest support :D Btw, do you know that Brazil is the only country to appear in every finals?

Now, who will our future prodigy be?

Isnt he so f***ing adorable? Look at the way he kicks the ball, he's gonna be one great football player in the near future!

However, for now, the big question is, who's going to bring this cup home this year?

Geez, i cant wait to find out. So exciting! :)
