Matsuo Sushi

Located at a quiet corner in goldhill plaza, Matsuo Sushi is the place to go for if you are looking for quality sashimiThe counter where the freshest sashimi is madeReservation is recommended, especially for the weekends, cos the place is small and cosy and couldnt accommodate too many people. Believe me, it seems like a popular eatery.Table of food. At first we thought we ordered quite little but in fact, it was a lot!

Our sashimi set. The sashimi was so so fresh and nice!It looked like a rather small serving but trust me, it made both of us so full we wouldnt want to eat sashimi for the next few weeks or so.

chawanmushi which tasted quite plain compared to that from sakae sushipotato salad with ham miso soup
unagi nigiri, our favorite jap food!!!some appetizer thingy
the colorful bento set whoa, the prawn was huge!
sushioctopus sashimi
prawn, tasted quite different but very nice.As minxuan put it, it was so fresh she could almost feel them squirming down her throat. What a way to describe it, haha.
tempura which was a little too oily.Nonetheless, i still loved it cos it's so crispy!
the fried mushroom, pumpkin and tapioca minxuan and i, after a very filling meal
In a nutshell, food was great(though price is a bit steep) but service sucks, unfortunately. Usually when you patronize a Japanese restaurant, you would be greeted with enthusiastic "Irashaimase (welcome)!". However, the waitresses there were rather hostile and i didnt see them smile at all throughout the whole dinner. What a pity, for i would have liked the restaurant a lot more had the service been more hospitable.
