Im glad to say that i've discovered the helpful side of singaporeans today.

During lunch, i was playing with the stud of my earring(as usual) when i dropped it on the floor.Having lost so many of my studs before and that this was the last few i have left, it was quite important to me to get it back. So, i walked around looking for it and this attracted the attention of an old man who asked me what i was looking for.

"oh, i dropped the stud of my earring" i replied

"you should look for it from an angle so that it will be easier for you to spot it when the light shines on it" he suggested and looked around for it .

A cleaner and a few other people around asked the same question and helped me look for it too. Suddenly, i felt a little embarrassed by the little commotion that i had caused over such a trivial thing. So, i thanked them for their help and told them that it's ok.

Even though i didnt find my stud, it was heartwarming knowing that there are kind and helpful singaporeans given the common perception that singaporeans are self-centered compared to the westerners.
